Ok I'll be buying a Macbook pro soon because I need a computer to last me during college and have better battery life so to help out with the cost I want to sell my year old Sony Vaio.

Its a VPCEE25FX

2.1 GHz AMD Athlon II DualCore processor P320
ATI Radeon HD 4250 Graphics
15.5 inch
4GB RAM
320GB HDD
Blu-Ray ROM optical drive
Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit
In pretty top notch condition.

I paid about $750 for it Jan 2010.
I never sold a computer before and am planning to craigslist it.
I also dont know how to restore it to factory conditions since it did not come with any cds; but thats a whole nother thread somewhere.

How much should I ask for it?

Thanks!

Whoa I didnt know it would be that dated.
hmm..

i think thats slightly high as laptops (at least in Canada) have been selling dirt cheap lately.

I just bought a lenovo for my dad. Granted it was a refurb. but was packaged and looked absolutely brand new. Dual core intel cpu, 3 gb ram, 320 gb hdd, 1 gb dedicated graphics, 15.4 inch screen

paid 229.99 + taxes (15%) out the door.

boxing day will bring even better deals. Id honestly say you'd be looking at $300. But the benefit in yours is the blu ray drive, so i think u may be able to squeeze another 75 bucks for that.

Keep it for testing

I would and have kept a Windows computer around to test, keep junk files and download curtain things so my MacBookPro stays fresh. I try to help friends that don't have Apple with the HP Laptop i have, because i can't explaine to them "how to do" things on two differant kinds of systems. I see used laptop like that run for about $125-$175 on a street style market.
