I might end up picking up a retina Mini after the announcement if the prices are right. Does anyone remember how much refurbs drop after the new model is announced?

Just bought a refurbished iPad 4 for $299. Only difference is the box, otherwise it's a new iPad.

This is something I'm also looking to do in upgrading to a retina mini 32GB. There really isn't a fixed price Apple drops the refurbs too like they do when they drop previous-generation products down $100. I wish they would, as it would be easier to gauge. Right now the retina mini discounts are $60-130 off retail depending on the configuration. My best guess is that these will stay the same, but be reflected off the new retina mini retail price.

I just picked up two refurbished iPad Mini 2 64GB for $349 each - seeing that before the announcement the 16GB was $339, this is totally worth it.

The iPad Mini 3 is not worth the extra $ for just a touch ID.
