I am looking into switching to an iphone soon and I am thinking it might be cheaper for me in the long run. Right now I would just get the 450 minute plan. After taxes and all the little add ons phone companies throw at you what does an average bill come to? Thanks in advance.

I have the minimum plan of 450 anytime minutes, 5000 nights and weekend minutes and I pay $10 extra for 1,500 text messages a month. My bill comes out to between $78 - $84 bucks a month.

Hope that helps.

See I don't even have a smart phone and I am paying that much at Verizon. At this rate I can't afford NOT to have an iphone.

I have four phones...

with our AT&T Family Plan. (2) iPhones (1) Motorola KRZR (1) Blackberry Pearl and the average bill is $240 or $60 per person. Now this includes early unlimited minutes starts at 7pm v. 9pm Mon-Fri, Unlimited Text Msg, two $20 iPhone data plan, one Blackberry $30 data plan, rollover minutes (6438 total), and shared 1400 minutes.

450 minute plan gets me this...

This was my first regular monthly bill after that ghastly first bill, which was $156.02.

So, i'm assuming my monthly bill will be around $71.

I'm on the 450min plan and pay around $66 after taxes.

I have around 1200 rollover minutes to use when I go over ... so helpful :)

Most of my minutes are night/weekend or mobile to mobile ....

500 minutes/month 29.99
Internet 5.99
Total month 42.00

Having a T-Mo logo instead of ATT- Priceless

So I am ahead 30 or so a month over ATT.

Thats pretty good... T Mobile is the only major cell carrier I haven't tried but AT&T is the one I've been most satisfied with. I think ~$65/mo for an iPhone is a great deal.

I am on a family plan-- 4 phones (1 iPhone)-- pay about $115 a month (I have the least expensive text plan as I do not text often)

My bill is $95/month.

I'm on the lowest plan ($60) + $20 for unlimited texts +$15 for misc taxes. A have AT&T.

I'm looking to get myself an iPhone once the second generation one comes out (whenever that may be), and I was curious if it's easy to start with the basic plan and upgrade your number of text messages later? I don't do that much texting now since it is cumbersome on a normal phone without a keyboard, but with the iPhone I could see myself sending more.

Also, does anyone know if there is a coverage map anywhere for AT&T? I use Sprint currently and don't know how well-covered my area is for AT&T.

We pay $85 or somewhere around there depending on how much my wife texts. At times, it's about $88, but it's never gone higher.

We have the 550 mins anytime w/ Rollover (2800 mins)
The iPhone bolt on is $20, and I switched my line to the secondary line because of our employer discount. I believe it's 15% on service, but it helps!
