The AT&T site is hard to figure out when it comes to the iPhone. How much do you pay with just data? How about text? Anyone with the following setup?

500 anytime minutes
unlimited nights and weekends
nights at 7p-7a
unlimited data
unlimited text

What would something like that run?

as i dont use a lot of mins, im on the most basic plan at 69.99, 450 mins with 5000 weekend/night mins, unlimited data. (although i'd rather have only data and prepaid plan).

no add-ons, i dont text a lot, i mean, if you can email, why do you need text msg?

your plan sounds like you would need the 89.99 plan + 20 unlimited text. so thats 109.99?

About $100 after taxes. 450 minues with 5000 Nights and weekends is $39.99, plus $30 for Unlimited Data, and $20 for Unlimited Text, but you get Rollover which is $90 then taxes will get you another $10 to $15. I currently have the $39.99 plan with the $20 for EDGE access and pay $72 per month.

To my knowledge there is no 7-7 plan, and you have to get the 900 minute ($59.99 +30) plan for unlimited nights and weekends.

This at&t site is quite easy to read : http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/specials/iphone-info.jsp

AT&T doesn't have 500 minutes. What they do have is 450 Anytime Minutes with 5000 Nights and Weekends for $39.99.

unlimited nights and weekends
If you need unlimited nights and weekends, you must get the 900 Anytime Minutes plan for $59.99.

nights at 7p-7a
At&T calls this "Early Nights and Weekends." The going price for this is: $8.99

unlimited data
This is the standard iPhone 3G data plan. It costs $30

unlimited text
Unlimited texting is $20.

Hope that all helps.

I forgot to include I pay $25 a month for that with Sprint. So I'm looking at a minimum of $70 a month for 450 mins and unlimited web with some text message and 9p nights (I never go over 1000 nights and weekends so 5000 is plenty). $45 extra a month or $540 extra a year (for a lesser plan).

I want an iPhone but the stupid plan is keeping me away :(

I thought there was talk about a year ago of the web plan being only $20 extra? (I used to be on Cingular and moved to Sprint).

For my iphone 3g (which i dont have yet) i will have to pay $45 a month for unlimited data and 200 text and voice.
family plan:D

not sure if it is relevant, but i'm in the UK and will be getting the £35 plan which includes:

600mins to anyone, anytime
500 texts
unlimited data

at the moment i'm on pay as you go and top up £10 a month, which gets me 300 free texts which i have never gone over, and always have some money left over from the calls i make so figured it would be the best plan. there is a £30 plan but its hopeless, with something like 125 mins and 75 texts. plus, i'll actually get the £35 plan for about £25, i have a friend who works in an o2 shop so he can get me things abit cheaper, i even get £70 off the iphone handset :) (just waiting for that particular store to get some damn white ones in!)

Data for a 1st gen iPhone is $20. The lowest 1st gen iPhone plan is about $70 and some change per month. (that is with 200 texts... unlimited would add $20 to that.)

~$41 on my first gen iPhone, this includes taxes and fees. I have the basic plan ($60), turned off the data plan (-$20) and have an HHS FAN discount (-$6). It was ~$47 before the FAN discount kicked in.

Our first bill with the new 3G phone was around $180-185. (One old phone and one new phone). Had tried to add unlimited family plan texting, but I think they were charging us too much (or that I misunderstood what it would cost). :( Dropped it back down to 1500 text messages (more than I'll ever use anyway, and hope to get the bill down to a more reasonable #. Still a lot of money!

I pay the basic plan with my 1st gen. iPhone.

After all the gov. stuff and taxes, I pay $68.15 a month.

If AT&T were like Verizon in my area, I'd definitely pay an extra $15 a month. But feeling hesitant to call someone on a backroad is not worth spending much more cash.

Just call me a cheap skate.
