Im planning to sell my MBP within the next months to get a newer model.... however I don't know what would be a good price for selling it.

It's the following model:
http://www.amazon.com/Apple-MacBook...4?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1220888289&sr=8-4

Instead of 2GB of RAM I increased it to 4GB.

Additionally it's worth to say that I live in Costa Rica (Central America) so the price might be higher than in the US.

I went to the local Apple Store, but they don't sell the 2.2GHz model anymore.

Please let me know and thanks in advance.

I'd pay around $1200-$1499, but I'd suggest searching completed listings on eBay to get a better idea.

I have no clue as to why Amazon has the 2.2ghz model priced more than the current 2.4ghz.

It should of had a price of $1999, and since it is not current, the price should be at least $200 less.

Apple refurb has the current 2.4 for $1699. That said the 2.2 would be worth $1499, add $100 for the ram so $1599. That is brand new with full warranty. Used I would say $1200-$1400.
