If you guys know a little about the industry, I'd really appreciate it if you would share with me what the average is like. That way, I have some mental concept of what to expect before talking to them. Thanks!
You seem stressed about potential costs. Responses on here will not really provide you with negotiation tools. You will probably want to get multiple quotes and try to evaluate the level of service from each. I knew a couple guys that worked as consultants. One charged $150/hr with whatever minimum. I'm not sure about the other. This was a few years ago. Like anything there's a range of quality, so you have evaluate what you will receive against the estimates.
