How much faster is 3G to LTE?

I'm curious and wondering what I should expect...3G on my 4s is pretty damn slow. Is it like going from DSL 5mbps or so to Cable internet at 15-20mbps?

In other words a HUGE noticeable difference?

If you're downloading big files I guess you will notice or if you're tethering to other devices or computers.
If you're just browsing, watching videos or streaming radio you wont notice much difference on a cellphone from 5mbps to 15-20.

Do you have Verizon/Sprint? If so it is a vey noticeable difference.

Not going to notice much of a difference then unless you are downloading huge files.

To me it's a gargantuan difference. On my mom's 4G Incredible, the LTE is faster than her home Internet.
