How much faster is Macbook pro retina(13inch, 2,ghz) compared to Macbook Air 2012 (1,8ghz)

Im considering upgrading to the new macbook pro retina 13 inch with 2,7cpu. I got a macbook air 2012 13 inches. I have checked out all the charts and everything, but Im struggling to understand how big a of a difference it really is. Has anyone any experience with this? I mostly use it for browsing, after effects and playing hearthstone.

What is encouraging the upgrade? Is your 2012 MBA 13" lagging? Making fan noise? Broken?

The screen improvement of a retina Mac is reason enough for some to upgrade, but it would be helpful to understand how you feel those three applications work on your MBA today, then someone can answer how drastic the difference would be.
