I'm always running out of my Disk space, because of page in and page out. I obviously need to upgrade to 8 Gb, but in the meantime, I'm going to have increase my free space of the hard drive.

How much free disk space is recommened for OS X?

10% of the drive really..doesn't matter huge amounts tho.

Lol, that's impossible. I can't delete that much stuff :(

Guess I'll only keep the critical apps that I need when I'm mobile. ( i need the others too, but I'm going to have make priorities I guess )

If you cannot delete stuff, then its time for a larger hard drive.

How much data do you have on what HDD or SSD size?

Applications don't take that much space, it will be your files that take up that much space.

I currently have a 60GB SSD (trimmed down from 500GB HDD) and put the HDD into a FW800 enclosure to have fast access to my bigger files and be able to take the HDD with me.

It's mainly big sample libraries that take up all the space. I guess I'm going to do the same, I'll run those sample libraries from an external FW800 drive. Is going to be less of a convience to carry an external drive with me, but i'm not going to buy a new hard drive now, I'm waiting for the new SSD's that are coming in 2011. :p
