I want to know how much free hard drive space I have, but I'm getting told two different things...

So I have 296 GB or 181GB??! Or is it me making a mistake...? Help please!

The difference comes from the 115GB of "local backups" you currently have on your machine. You can read about the feature here:

It can be safely disabled in the terminal using the following command:
