I am a little bit short on hard drive space so I have this question:

How many GBs of empty space does one "loose" after upgrading from Snow Leopard to Lion?

Well, I went ahead with the upgrade and found out for myself. If it concerns anyone, there is actually 1,36GB more free space after the install:).

I guess it was just like snow leopard, or was it leopard? that Apple was boasting freed up 10gb of your hard drive, which actually did when I installed it before. So its just 2 gig now ey? no wonder theyre not advertising the space that it saves.

it was SL. But still freeing any space is good in my mind. I would expect upgrades to get bigger.

Isn't that what typically what happens with windows? And with Mac prior to SL for that matter?
