quick question, 500-600 mostly 50-70 minute audio cd's ripped to itunes in apple lossless. roughly how much hard drive space will it take up?

thanks for the replies, chaps. anyone know for sure? ive got a 2ghz imac dc with a 250gig hd, should that be big enough?

250 GB should be plenty. I use FLAC for my lossless tunes. Figuring roughly 25 MB per 3.5 - 4 minute song and 11 songs per album I came up with ~165 GB.

HTH.

If its gonna eat up 150+ at an estimate - then thats 50%+ of your HD just gone, and thats without future music purchases, movies, games etc.

Maybe it would be worth you investing in a 250GB Ex. FW HD?

yea, i think your right, what with iphotos and xp taking up a big chunk an external hd looks like the way forward:) more expense!:D
anyone recommend a decent external hard drive for itune storage?
