How much HDD space did you get back?

Just finished installing on both my macs and my macbook reclaimed about 7GB whereas my iMac reclaimed about 29GB

Both were just upgraded

Did find it funny with the install disc before install 80.0MB was free after install 83.9MB free

YES! It's important to note that Apple now calculates based on the "1 GB = 1000 MBs" rather than the older "1GB = 1024MBs".

Just as usable as it was in Leopard.

The drive is still exactly the same size, it's just displaying it differently.

question i have been wondering is, would you get that hard drive space back even if you didn't do a clean install? Thats my worry, im thinking that you would only get that HD space back if you do a clean install is that true?

Sorry did not see that, I'm trying to see if i would benefit more by doing a clean install rather than upgrading. I got my imac in May so I cant see doing a clean install.

i got 13mb back.

Upgrade and 22GB back.

I removed the additional languages and my Gen 1 MBA got back 11GB.

That's pretty huge considering it's only a 60GB SSD.
