How much is a 'piece of history' worth?

Not anywhere near $750. The SE/30 is of too recent vintage (by my standards) to be historical. It had a '030 chip!
i love how the ad asks if you remember the MAC (sic) like it doesn't exit anymore. foolish people...
I'd pay $500 for a good condition 128K that came out in 1984. That WAS the original Mac that changed history (GUI, mouse, etc.). It's what the Ridley Scott commercial was about and it represents an important piece of history. The SE/30 in that ad is next to worthless. $50 for one in good condition. Best used for a fish aquarium.

The SE is worth $50 at best.
Like the Plus and most of the later Macs, the SE is not a rare item, hence not worth much.

Seller is full of crap. I bought one for a dollar a few months ago. Under no circumstances is an SE/30 worth $750! It might be worth $30 if it works and is in decent cosmetic shape--and if the shipping wasn't too outrageous.
Barely worth $30, check around with local schools, you can get tons of classic mac equipment given to you. I've got SE's Classics, you name it, all free just for the asking. If I really couldn't get a hold of one by other means, 20-30 bucks on ebay would be ok, $40 with shipping mabye.

Why does the ebay item not have a pic? Is it that much of a secret?!?!
Yeah, I have left many of these to rot in schools I have worked in...actually used some for basic word games and word processing practice..since you can't find typewriters for this anymore.

Heck if I could sell and SE/30 for $750 I would be a made man, I have so many old macs lieing around, just call em history and watch the suckers come to em. Kinda sad.
