I bought my 15-inch Macbook Pro on release day in February 2011. I've been thinking of selling it in order to have a supply of cash for when, potentially, new Airs come out with Retina displays.

The configuration is as follows:

2.3Ghz Sandy Bridge Quad i7
8GB RAM (upgraded myself)
128GB SSD (upgraded myself)
1680x1050 anti-glare display
Intel HD+ATI Graphics cards with 1GB of VRAM

Will provide original 750GB HDD as superdrive, as well as Apple care that expires in February 2014.

Could someone please give me an estimate for how much I should sell it? I bought it for £1900 and someone offered me £950, which I think might be too low. Considering it's almost two years old, I'd expect a price drop, but half might be too low.

£1500 from apple for a new 2.3 and ssd+ram would be another £100ish. i know its got over a year warranty left but its still 2 years old and has last gen hardware. id say a grand is a pretty fair offer really
