I'm thinking about selling my MBP, and have no idea about the secondary market prices for these things. Was wondering if someone could help me out? That way I can at least have a good starting price/idea for selling on ebay etc.

UK

Early 2011 MBP, basically mint condition
Intel i7 2GHz
8GB DDR3 RAM
500GB HDD 7200RPM
Intel HD Graphics 3000 512MHz
OS X Lion 10.7.5
15.4" HD screen, anti-glare (the best one they offered prior to Retina display)
15 months of Applecare remaining

An estimate/rough price would be really helpful :)

And whilst we're on the subject - are there any better avenues than ebay to sell apple products?

I would say....

between $1150-1250 USD. Good care of the machine, remaining AppleCare and no cosmetic and functional issues can help in the price.

If selling through an online site, factor in shipping costs/fees.

As a starting point, you can check Mac2Sell, eBay (including completed sales), or Amazon for prices of similar models, to get an idea of what a reasonable price may be. Then adjust the price to account for condition, configuration, remaining AppleCare coverage (if any), etc.
