I'm looking into JBL Creatures for my new eMac. How much louder are the Creatures than the speakers in my eMac. The Apple website says the eMac speakers are 16 Watts. I can't find how many Watts the Creatures are.

Yea, also when you listen to music on the eMac loudly, the magnets in the CTR tend to make the screen wobble.

So the Creature speakers are a good idea.

But if your looking for loudness, there are better computer speakers.....

Why would you connect 5.1 speakers to a computer not capable of anything over 2.1?

ehh, well thanks for pointing that out, I didn't read the fine print.

But I'm willing to be those would be bad-ass speakers.

I've already heard all about how the Creatures sound great. I just never knew how loud I'd be able to get them. I think I'll snatch some white ones off eBay tonight. Do you think $60 is a fair price for open box Creatures?

Well, I see now that there is a new set of Creatures for $75. So, should I get a "slightly used" (all eBay auctions say that, so you never know how truthful it is) for $65 or so, or a new set for $75? Or is there anywhere else you suggest with better prices?

I decided to order them off of Amazon. I ordered them yesterday, and got the free shipping. They weren't supposed to come until next week, but they showed up today by some miracle. Thanks Amazon!

Anyways they sound great. They even sound better than my stereo speakers! Plus, I don't have to worry about how loud they get. They shake the house!

Thanks for all your help!
