*ponders renaming it, "Which house should we break into and rob?"*

;)

I think a decent little bit of money has been spent on retail Apple products as well as general Apple-branded swag (like I've bought up store employee tees, etc.).

I remember paying over $11k for a Mac II FX about 16 years ago.... It was hot! And the iici. Many since. Do clones count? Laserwriters? Bought two powercomputing systems. First, second third gen. lampshade iMacs.

Since I own small company that is all Mac, I'll conservatively estimate over $100,000 since my first Macintosh 128 @ $2.5k+. Many, many in betweens leading up to todays Air, MBB, MBP and new 20" iMac, lots o' iPods.

Never thought about it...about 4k in three years. Not to bad.

IBook G4
Ipod Mini
Iphone 8GB
Ipod Nano
Macbook Air

I'm not even going there..lol.. let's just say that bringing the memories of the good times my family has enjoyed over the many years we've been Apple users in various forms of media has been worth every penny... I think so anyway..;-)

a year and a half ago iMac - $2100

last pc about 4 years ago that has half the specs of my imac - $3500

It's not that pc's are cheaper to buy, its that pc's use cheap parts. that is why they only last a year or two. i had my spendy windows machine for 3 years, had more than a dozen blue screens, and reinstalled xp every 6-12 months after it would blue screen. And by the 3rd year the motherboard finally burned up taking the processor with it.
I have had my iMac for 1.5 years and haven't even had it freeze yet, that and i get to use OS X, which just makes life so much more enjoyable.:apple:

i'm afraid to add up the numbers. in my defense, though, i've sold a number of items to bring the net spending down. but i'm still afraid to calculate.

20" iMac, BlackBook, 15" PowerBook G4, Mac Mini, AEBS, AEX, iPod HiFi, 3rd Gen iPod 20gb, 4th gen iPod 40gb, 5th gen iPod 80gb, 3rd gen iPod Nano 8gb, 2 iPhones, AppleTV, 2 Wireless Mighty Mice, 2 Wireless Keyboards, Universal Dock... and a partridge in a pear tree? (i'm probably missing some things)

i think that puts me right around the 10k mark since 2004. yikes $2500/year.

i hate this thread.
