If you could have iPhone always update apps or anything constantly without having to sometimes refresh manually how much more energy & battery life would it take? Like how a Mac or a macbook if you have it set to when unplugged for macbook. I know it is the only way to save or get longer battery life. It would be nice if you could get both. Know that will never happen though. Mobile devices are not meant to be like that I know.

This totally depends on how many apps u have and how often there are updates from the developer.
Since this is only every few weeks i guess it doesn’t really help on your daily routine since u don’t know when it’s time for update.

Try it out. It will be similar amount as if u update manuu

That is impossible on a mobile device with most apps (unless you include laptops and macbooks too still you can not carry those in your pocket)

This is a great idea!

I am tired of manually updating both my personal and work iPhones.

Sometimes there's a few and other times, over 25 apps needing updates.

Wish there was an "autoupdate" feature toggle when plugged in & charging...
