Hi all,

I need some advice from you guys on determining how much my mac is valued at roughly in the used market at the moment.


15" Early 2011' Macbook Pro
Processor 2.00 GHz Intel Quad Core i7
Memory 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 6490M 256 MB GDDR5 and Intel HD Graphics 3000
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.8.2
500GB 4500-rpm hard drive
Hi-Res Antiglare Widescreen Display



Battery at 33 Cycles

Applecare expires on 25/Feb/2014
Bought it on 24/Feb/2011 release date

MacBook Pro 1999 + %13 TAX = 2259.87
Apple Care 379 + %13 TAX = 428.27

Total cost = 2688.14

Bought from apple online store Canada

As a starting point, you can check Mac2Sell, eBay (including completed sales), or Amazon for prices of similar models, to get an idea of what a reasonable price may be. Then adjust the price to account for condition, configuration, remaining AppleCare coverage (if any), etc.

I would say around 1400 - AppleCare doesn't make your Mac worth a lot more - but it does bring tons of reassurance to a potential buyer. Make sure you stress that it is still under warranty to a potential buyer. Especially if you are selling online.

so i do not loss too much resale value if my applecare expire
 
I would say.....

between $ 1200-1350. Good care of the machine, remaining AppleCare and no cosmetic/functional issues can help the price.

If selling through an online site, factor in shipping costs/fees.
