If you're wondering how much resellers are willing to pay, it is easy to get free online quotes from many vendors such SellYourMac.com, Gazelle.com, PowerMax and others. Selling yourself ( eBay/Craigslist etc. ) might net more dollars but requires more effort and care.

Worth mentioning in your ad: Knowledgeable buyers will want to know if the video card has ever been replaced since these machines often experience this failure.

Presumably you already know your iMac is "worth" what others are willing to pay for it.;)

Well in December I sold my mid 27" 2011 2.7GHz CPU with 16GB memory and same HDD and gfx. It fetched AU$580.00 which was a little disappointing but at auction it is only worth what it sells for. Local dealers offered around the $500.00.

Green30 did you sell it?

im looking to sell my custom made mid 2011 imac

all the gubbins inside mine are

Intel quad Core 3.4Ghz i7 (dont forget to use the power words when selling)
24gb GB 1333MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB (Replaced by Apple to a newer card as it was on the recalled list)
1Tb HDD
SuperDrive

Sellmymac quoted mine at £1200 which seems a lot

Pretty much the same setup only for the last year and a bit ive been using Samsung 850 Pro SSD 512gb (x2)
which pretty much made it blistering fast start up time was 10 seconds.

not sure wether or not to sell it with this as i doubt i would see a benefit in value

tis a shame they dont make the new Imacs the same way with magnets for the screen as opposed to sticky backed plastic otherwise id stick those in there for even faster machine

what else do you expect for a 6 year old machine?

the graphics are fine once the swap out was completed
