I’ve watched a couple of videos and read a couple of articles that say the iPhone 12 pro has a battery life of 1-2 hours worse than the 11 pro. But it is uncertain to me if those tests were with 5g enabled. I will never use 5g in the upcoming years, so I will keep it turned off. How does battery life still compare then? I would prefer the phone with the longest possible battery life.

you should get roughly the same battery life as the 11 pro with 5G turned off

I have my 12 Pro set to auto 5G, and I think I am getting slightly less battery life than my old 11 pro. But barely and probably not enough to make a definite noticeable difference.

also imo the qualcomm modem would be worth the slight hit in battery life. and in todays world we are mostly at home anyways so how hard is it to find a charger? lol

My iPhone 12 Pro seems ever so slightly worse than my iPhone 11 Pro did. On typical usage I still go two days in between charges, which gets it down to mid 50% and I get good results from optimized charging when I do charge it. I do get better performance so for me - it's a good trade off.
