How much of an upgrade is a Series 3 from a Series 1?

I have a series 1 that I got Thanksgiving of 2016 I think, and its finally starting to show its age. I've been thinking if there are any good Black Friday Deals or what have you I may think about upgrading to the 3 (The 5 will likely be outside my price range).

How big of an upgrade would it be? Worth it? I'd probably do 42mm Aluminum GPS only like last time.

The biggest upgrade is the processor and cellular feature, plus full water proof in my opinion. However, if you can scramble a bit more money, you could get series 4, which is vastly improved over series 3 in many ways, including noise detection, larger screen, even better processor and still great water resistant.

I upgraded from Series 0 to Series 3 because it was finally powerful enough for Siri to speak

I wonder if there will be any good Series 4 deals before all the stock is gone? I'd be open to getting one if so.

Series 1 (2nd gen) to Series 3 was a HUGE performance jump. And if you get a cellular model, you can make a 911 call even if you don’t hook up cell service.

As mentioned, Siri finally works and battery life was much improved. In my view, the only thing a Series 4 gives you over the Series 3 is bigger fonts and ECG.
