An associate has a used MacBook for sale. He wants me to make an offer, but I do not know what number would be good.

Here is what I know about it:
I think it is a 2006. I will need to get the disc drive fixed (I called Apple and they told me that the standard price for getting a disc drive fixed on a 2006 MacBook is $129).

Model Name: MacBook
Model Identifier: MacBook1,1
Processor Name: Intel Core Duo
Processor Speed: 2 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache (per processor): 2 MB
Memory: 1 GB
Bus Speed: 667 MHz
Boot ROM Version: MB11.0061.B03
SMC Version: 1.4f12

What offer should I make him?

I'm thinking in the $300-$400 range, I wouldn't think any more than that. Not really basing this off of anything tho so not sure how much help I am. Good luck.

If the computer was fully working and no repairs would be needed, I would price it around $400-450. Seeing how you would have to fix the SuperDrive, I would say no more than $320? (taking best price of 450 and subtracting the repair cost).

How about mine??

How much should i sell mine for? It is in Excellent condition too!!

If I were interested in your MacBook, I would pay no more than $500. Try looking around craigslist and see what the same model goes for and take the average.

According to Mac2sell that MacBook with 80 GB HD and a dvd reader (you didn't specify those aspects) is worth $500. I think it's a bit overpriced and you also have to replace the drive, therefore I'd pay $350 at most.

Please correct me if I made any mistake.

Cheers from Italy.
