How much should I sell/can I get for my 17" 2009 MacBook Pro?

I have a mid-2009 17" MacBook Pro glossy screen.
2.8 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
8GB DDR3 RAM
500GB 5400RPM (or 500GB Momentus XT Hybrid Drive)
512MB 9600mGT NVIDIA GeForce

Comes with original box, unopened power adapter, 17" neoprene sleeve.

The MacBook Pro is in great condition. A few small nicks on the side and a tiny dent on the bottom case, but the screen is flawless and replaced recently actually.

As a starting point, you can check Mac2Sell, eBay (including completed sales), or Amazon for prices of similar models, to get an idea of what you may be able to charge. Then adjust your price to account for condition, configuration, remaining AppleCare coverage (if any), etc.

Is that aluminum unibody? If yes I'd say around $1800. If no, around $1300. (craigslist). You could try eBay as well, you might get a bit more but it might not be worth the hassle for you.

Ended up selling it for $1100.

A lot less than you think. Prices drop a ton.
