How much space does a clean install of Mavericks take?

The base installation is about 15 GB on my system. I calculated that by taking the "used" space, subtracting the apps that I've installed, my iTunes library, and my Movies folder. That covers the vast majority of "additional stuff" on my machine (I've only upgraded my laptop so far, so I don't have too much stuff on there yet).
If you buy a new machine and install iLife and iWorks apps that will use about 20GB of space total.
