i just saw it takes up way more than safari and kind of a lot more than firefox. was just wondering if this was normal
 
Since Safari comes with OS X, I'm guessing Safari can have supporting files outside of the app. Chrome on the other hand needs all the supporting files in the app.
 
What does it matter compared to the 500+ MB you probably use for caches and such.
