I was initially going to get a 16GB iPad 2 and I still might, but I just realized that I'll be using iMovie considerably and didn't think the 14GB of storage (minus the apps, movies, etc) would allow me the freedom to not have to worry about storage.

So, basically, what I'm asking is how many MB do you think 1 iMovie (approx. 10 minutes in length) would run me?

I was able to get by scott-free, albeit teetering on <2GB at most times, with the 16GB without iMovie and Garageband. But I think I may have to drop that extra $100 and get the 32GB. Just to be on the safe side.

Are we talking a 10 minute 720p video recorded on the iPad itself? Judging by some videos I've taken on my iPhone, I'm guessing about 800MB.

Edit: I was right. I threw together a 10 minute video in iMovie for iPhone and exported it in 720p, the file size was 773MB.
