How much space will i get by doing clean install?

Yeah i want to know how much additional space i'll gain by doing clean install without ilfe? Can someone who just did the clean install tell me how much space left in your MBA? i just want to know whether it's worth it to download the Lion OS again over the air.

If you did a CMD+F, and typed ilife, while in the macbook air forums, you would find this thread in the front page:

that depends on what you're after.
OSX Lion and no iLife will eat up around 9-10 gb

by all means download Lion again only this time use this link's method and you won't have to download it again:

you may of course need some elements of iLife such as iPhoto but this can be installed by tapping 'customise' during the install process and deselecting what you don't want.

all my applications take up a touch over 3gb - here's a screen shot of what they are.
MS Office would add another 850mb - but I rarely use it these days.
also I keep my additional fonts under 100 whereas I used to have in excess of 1000 - not that they take up that much HDD space but that many do tend to slow down apps loading, etc.

I gained the most space by using Onyx. It really does a great job of cleaning away unnecessary files. But, be careful, it can also delete useful files if you go too wild with it.
