I have one of the late 2012 imac slim models and was wondering if anyone has brought it to an apple store to have the wall mount kit installed. Is it expensive? I didnt think i would need it when i purchased but now im moving stuff around i would like to wall mount it as long as the expense isnt to much.

Apple doesn't do modifications.

Actually they will (or our store did) install the VESA kit on the older (pre-2012) iMacs. I believe it was tier 2 labor but otherwise fairly straight forward.

The VESA kit that Apple sells though is not compatible with the thin 2012 models. Instead they state that it must be ordered with the iMac at time of purchase. Acorn's best shot may be to contact an Apple Authorized Service Provider to see if they are able to retrofit the mount or if they have any other options available.
