How much to sell my iMac for

First time selling iMac, want to sell it just before the new 27" iMac's come out in December, heres the specs and only been used for 8 months:

2TB Hard Drive
256GB SSD
AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB
8GB 1333MHZ RAM
3.4GHZ i7 CPU
Apple Remote
Apple Magic Mouse
Apple Keyboard

0 scratches, marks or ware on mouse, keyboard, screen or physical unit.

its basically all the top spec iMac and CPU is the top spec of the newer iMac coming out, all there is is slightly slower memory.

any ideas what I could sell it for (it cost originally about 3k) it also has only 8 months of apple care usage on it (apple care is sold to the user with the unit right?)

first time selling so advice from people who sold previously would be good

As a starting point, you can check Mac2Sell, eBay (including completed sales), or Amazon for prices of similar models, to get an idea of what a reasonable price may be. Then adjust the price to account for condition, configuration, remaining AppleCare coverage (if any), etc.
