Here is what I have on my past usage:

May: 9.4GB
June: 8.6GB
July: 4.6GB
August: 5.9GB
September: 6.7GB
October: 6.8GB
My wife used between 3.2GB and 4.5GB during that timeframe for each month.
We have the $30 grandfathered plan.

I commute 95mi to work; 190mi round trip. I stream podcasts and music for approx 4hr (commute), surf the web and check emails, some days I stream music at work as well.

Not a heavy user I guess. I'm streaming radio and podcasts at least 2 hours a day on my commute - that's the majority of my data usage

Those are roughly my numbers. I'm grandfathered as well and I think I've only passed 2 GBs once during March Madness. And no, I won't give it up or let it down, until AT&T removes it.
I think I can do that once or twice a month. I am not willing to exceed 30 minutes of daily commute, 45 minutes if someone else is doing the driving.

I'm grandfathered under AT&T's unlimited plan and pay $30 a month. On average, I use 2-3 GB a month and my highest month was 4.1 GB.
I think it's good to know how much you use on average and select/change to a plan that suits your needs. Of course if you are grandfathered it might be in your best interest to hold on for the long run.
I used around 2gb for a while, which is a lot considering I have wifi at work, school, and home. After a while... It is down to about 3-400 mb. I guess it lost its luster.
1 to 2gb a month, grandfathered under AT&T unlimited, considering letting it go for the 4gb that includes tethering.

Wife and I are grandfathered into unlimited data at AT&T for $20mo. Typical use for both of us is 2-4GBmo. Spikes of 4-6GB or 7-9GB have been seen but I think that's perhaps us streaming music. I use a 4G LTE Verizon card for work and use it for streaming now though
I used to have unlimited when I had my BlackBerry but only used less than 200mb/mo so I switched my plans. Now I have a 2GB plan on the iPhone 4S and am on pace to be under that still.
Using lots of wi-fi when I'm at home so that limits data usage. I'm sure if I had unlimited still I'd be more inclined to stream movies and music more.

I use around 500MBs per month. That's nowhere near a lot of data, but it's nice having the unlimited so I don't have to limit myself.
Try streaming radio and Sirius 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I use about 4.5 GB a month.
