I'm sorry if this is in the wrong subforum, but it seems the most apt.

Basically, my two year old, first gen macbook has developed quite an annoying flaw. The U, M, J, Apostrophe (UK Keyboard) and Comma keys are completely dead. I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing (Thank God for USB keyboards).

So obviously I need to get this fixed, but I have no guarantee or applecare, so does anyone know how much (roughly) it'll cost if I send it back to apple to get it fixed?

I used macservice.com once and they did a pretty good job at fixing my screen.
they replace the keyboard for $225.

you could also find a broken macbook and use directions from ifixit.com to replace yourself.
