Hello everybody. I am looking to sell my 2010 MacBook Pro before the months end. I need to save up some money for a new Mac.
My Pro:
-Mid 2010
-2.53GHz Intel Core i5
-4GB DDR3
-NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 256 MB
-The OS is Mountain Lion (I have a developer preview)
-The storage is 500GB
and last: It is a 15" display

I have had some problems with the computer freezing. I have to hold down the power button on multiple occasions.

How much would I get for selling this? and what site (besides Ebay-I have no idea how to use it, lol) would be best?

All answers are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

mac2sell.com says $1190. Adjust that based on the condition of the machine. I'd take off the mountain lion developer preview as 1) you could jeopardize you developer account by giving out prerelease software, and 2) if something ends up happening and the buyer takes it to apple they're gonna be up the creek without a paddle in getting any help, which is a bit shady to do to someone who just spent that much money on something from you.

/user/me Awesome. I was thinking it might be about $900-$1000. Thanks for the help.

$800 to $1000 for this is a steal; 15" Macbook Pros from 2010 start at $1200 on the Madison, Wisconsin Craigslist, and only go up from there.

Entirely depends on your market I suppose.

Lots of people will be looking to get rid of this computer, and very shortly, the market will be flooded with similar models.

I disagree. Lots of people on this forum will be looking to get rid of their Unibodies. I am one of them. That said, we are the educated (or at least inquiring) few.

By far, the majority of the market has no knowledge of pending refreshes, the Mac Rumors Buying Guide, or the wherewithal to look into such matters.

List it for $1500 OBO and take the first $1200 to $1300 that comes your way. Specific references to how much the 15" models start out at is a must.

The 2010 MBP is a unibody - hence why the market will be flooded with people selling them to get a 2012 model.

Your post does not contradict anything I said. Read past the first line and maybe you will see what I am conveying. The market will not be flooded until after the refresh is announced though, and likely not until it is released.
