Im thinking of selling my imac and getting a rmbp 15" as i hardly use the imac for any real work anymore, just wondering how much id get for my imac?

Specs below:

2011 iMac 27"

3.4 i7 quad
12GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2GB GDDR5
1TB HD
Pristine condition.

Thanks.

As a starting point, you can check Mac2Sell, eBay (including completed sales), or Amazon for prices of similar models, to get an idea of what a reasonable price may be. Then adjust the price to account for condition, configuration, remaining AppleCare coverage (if any), etc.

I would shell out....

between $1150-1300 for that machine. Remaining AppleCare and no functional/cosmetic issues can help the price. Having said the latter, currently are a good market for 2011 iMacs, given the issues with the 2012 models. So you probably can do much better than my estimate.

If selling through an online site, factor in shipping costs/fees.

Currently about 1 year and 3 months left on AppleCare I believe....
