The iPod touch 1st gens usually go for roughly £40-60 in the UK. (According to eBay prices). However, sealed ones are worth quite a bit more and could go for maybe £130.

Telling you an estimation for 30 years time is quite hard, but I'm pretty sure their value will only increase as time passes as they'll become collectors items as technology develops. The increase may be minimal bit I doubt the value will depreciate.

It's about supply and demand.

The Apple I (which was the one that sold for a boat load of money) is pretty rare. There were only 200 produced.

So - you can sell a non working Apple I for more than a $100,000.

Will an iPod touch be worth money to a collector one day? Most likely - but given the much larger number produced - the collector can demand a perfect iPod touch. New in box - with a box that still looks perfect with no scratches or wear.
