Hi guys, I just joined MacRumors, and I have a question!

So, I'd like to sell my iMac (late 2009 model) and buy a MacBook Air and get a gaming PC. (I know the selling cost of my iMac won't nearly be enough to cover both haha, I'm just saying my situation.)

So here are the details on my iMac. (copied from http://support.apple.com/kb/sp576 )

Late 2009, 21.5" model. Running Lion.
ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics processor with 256MB of GDDR3 memory
3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 3MB shared L2 cache
4GB (two 2GB SO-DIMMs) of 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM; four SO-DIMM slots support up to 16GB

I've since upgraded the RAM to 8GB, and yes it comes with wireless keyboard and magic mouse.

Everything is perfect except for the DVD drive which I'll get to in a second. Only issues I've had are common computer ones. That being, the more you have on the computer, the slower it runs. I just actually moved all my music and movies to an external HDD and cleared up well over 100GB space on the HD (which is right now shared with Windows 7 via bootcamp). But everything runs very well, and startup is very quick.

The DVD drive is strange however. I noticed it maybe a year and a half or so after I bought my iMac. It sometimes accepts discs and sometimes doesn't. I think it might have to do with the brand and age of disc. For instance, this past holiday, I put in both Brave and The Dark Knight Rises in it and it worked fine. But sometimes, it just won't take blank CD's. I'll want to burn a CD from iTunes and its honestly hit and miss. I think I narrowed it down to a certain brand, but I'm still not entirely sure.

Blank DVD's are fine too. Over the break when I re-installed 7 via bootcamp (I may or may not have had a pirated version before...) and downloaded a school copy, plus burned it (and another disc with the bootcamp stuff) just fine. The only other disc I can think of that didn't work was Diablo II. And that was when I still had Snow Leopard.

Anyways, sorry if that's a really long post. I'm not very good with money/worth things, so if anyone could tell me some tips on what I should sell this for (in CAD) that would be great! (I was hoping for at least $700, I paid just under 2k for it.)
