I got an ipad 1 32gb two weekends ago and an incase book jacket (nice case/stand combo). anyways, this thing is so finger print smudgy. not an issue at night or even when its on but when its off it looks ugly as hell.

do u clean it often or just have a screen protector?

im considering an antiglare just to to not have the ugly smudges and the nice glide of antiglare protectors.

I have the iPad 2 with a power support crystal film and I highly recommend this for your iPad 1. Or the antiglare both are good. But I still clean mine everyday regardless.

I just got 32g iPad 1 also drives me crazy got monster cleaner from best buy comes with microfiber cloth use for my iPods droid x and flat screen tv and computer also

I clean it when it gets smudgy. A few wipes with a microfiber cloth and it's fine. I don't have a screen protector on it. Like anything else, just clean it when it gets dirty, it's not a big deal.

Oh, and consider washing your hands once in a while.

I've never used anything other than a Microfiber tool called Fuzzy Fingers and on occasion breathing on it then using the Microfiber. Both of our iPad 1 screens are still flawless (no protector) as they were out of the box. I'd say I give it a quick wipe every other day or so.

These are GREAT

I've had mine for nearly a month and just cleaned it for the first time today. Sure, it looks like **** when it's off, but when it's on I don't see the prints at all, so I don't really care about them. When it's off it's usually in the closed case anyhow.

As needed with a clean micro fiber cloth.

I'm not interested in wasting money on "special magic cleaners"

In the rare event I need something moist, warm water applied sparingly to the cloth does the job every time.

Every use, I have several of the Apple cleaning clothes from my MacBook Pros (which rarely need cleaning) I tucked one in the back of the case I bought and it's always available.

Whenever I can see fingerprints, I start vigorously rubbing the screen all over my chest.
