I had a Belkin anti-glare film on my iPhone 5 but it was beat to all heck after 4 months. I finally replaced it today with a spare Incipio film that I had lying around.

It is a PITA to put these things on, and small specks of dust kept landing on my screen as I was trying to install the replacement film.

I used the hinge method with scotch tape to align the protector, so at least it's not crooked. The scotch tape also came in handy for picking specs of dust off the glass or the back of the screen protector.

I've become quite a pro at applying screen protectors, I always do my friends phones. Putting a screen protector on my white 4S is more challenging. White phones make it super hard to line up.

I replace mine probably every 10 months or so. Maybe every year. I replace when they get too scratched up. My phone is babied so my protectors stay pretty nice for a while.

I use a glass one, so whenever it cracks or if I need a warranty replacement.

But before, when I used plastic ones, probably every 3 to 4 months.

Wow, I need to get in to the screen shield making business. I guess a sucker really is born every minute.

Ok what is the hinge method. That is my problem aligning it. :)

I'm hoping not to have to replace this screen protector anytime soon, but I already miss my anti-glare film.

The Incipio provided screen cover has superior clarity, but the reflections can be really bad when I'm watching a video.

Been always using glass protectors ever since spigen introduced their glas.t series. Normally i would change my screen protectors if i start to see small hairline scratches on the screen.

I think I changed about 5-6 times but its because with every case that I buy there is a free protector I change my screen protector so that I can use the ones that come with my cases

1-2 times a month or when it gets scratched. I use my lifetime replacement warranty.

Wow seriously? I'd just get bored of doing it that often.

I only replace them when they have a few deep scratches that annoy me when reading, watching videos and the like. That's usually every 6 months or so.

I have a lifetime replacement on mine so I can do it when I want to.

Just replaced the original screen protector on my old iPhone 3GS (bought on launch day, protector installed within the week following) a week or so ago. I forget the name of the brand but it's the flat green packaged ones they sell in Apple retail stores. I used it daily until I bought my iPhone 4 (on launch day), at which time it got passed down to my wife, who used it for 9 months or so until she also got an iPhone 4, at which time it went to my mother who used it until 3-4 months ago when she picked up an iPhone 4.

About a month ago I activated it and threw some kid apps on it and let my 17 month old play with it a bit every few days. She finally dropped it on our creekstone fireplace which put a little gash in the screen protector.

If you treat them with any sort of care they last.

I haven't replaced mine since I've placed it on last launch date. Still works fine, it's a crystal clear film I believe from Spigen. No hairline cracks whatsoever, I'm impressed. Hoping to use a glass screen protector for the next iPhone.

Rarely. It's unusual that I need to replace SGP's screen protectors. Haven't replaced the ones on my 4s or my wife's 5 at all.

I bought myself one of the roll on screen protectors and it is working great. That plus a can of dust remover spray has changed my life. No dust under the screen at all.

When i used plastic ones, i'd change it every 2-3 months, but since switching to a glass screen shield i haven't changed it in 3 months, and i have no intention of changing i anytime soon.
