Everytime I go inside a starbucks or other coffee shop, I look around at the ppl on their laptops and see if anyone has a rmbp. However, I don't think I have seen one person with one. How about you guys, do you see much ppl with rmbp in coffee shops?

I have only ever seen two other rMBPs, one in a lecture and one on a train - neither in a coffee shop.
I've seen 1 lady with a rMBP at a book store coffee shop. (hot lady too
Honestly if I wasn't so tight on money I wouldn't mind carrying one around. When I have the loot to replace my computer easily it's not a big deal if something happens, stolen, broken, etc (not that i'm trying for those things) but with how much money i've been having to spend recently...no way it's leaving my desk lol
Not one yet seen by me. rMBPs are really new so there aren't many out there in the world yet. I see a lot of cMBPs though, and Airs a lot. Lotsa Dells and HPs too of course. Usually when I go to Starbucks I take my Air too so even I don't take my rMBPs to Starbucks. My Air has a speck case on it and weighs nothing so it usually is the one that gets called up for field duty.
Of course there were no retina MBP before the iPad....
Before the iPad release, I see frequently.
But now I see the mb air and iPad.
I am not a coffee lover but I walked past Starbucks windows frequently I see a lot of MBP and some iPad. I can't tell the difference about retina MBP and classic MBP. 
I don't frequent coffee shops in college, but I know that I've only seen one other person with a rMBP on my campus. Who knows, maybe a few more will emerge next year after I graduate
