On my previous phones I hardly ever used the voice commands. I guess I can see the benefit of using it while driving, but in general I have always been fine without and never really felt it was that necessary.

I'm curious to see how many people use it day to day. The lack of voice control was a common complaint during iPhone reviews before the 3G S. So, have you been utilizing it?

I tried it once, it worked great, but I never use it. I automatically tap through to my contacts way before I remember it has voice control.

Nice that it's there though, I'm sure it will come in handy while driving at some point.

I use it all the time, and it works great for me. It will be even better when it's accessible through a BT headset. I love the idea of being able to call anyone in my contact list without having to take my phone out of my pocket or even having to touch the phone at all.

i used it once...i said a name and it called the one girl from my past that i have no desire to talk to ...its possessed so i dont use it ..its evil...i'll dial.

i use it alllll the time with the headphones will im out on the motorcycle, so awesome i can change tracks without waiting for a red light!

A good option would have been "once when i first bought it because it was one of the cool features I have been begging for forever, but now I see that its pretty pointless."

if i have the apple headset on me, then I use it to sometimes call people, but with the delay, usually, its quicker to just hit phone and call them via favorites.

What I wish it did were of two things:
1. have a dedicated button on a headset that wouldn't require you to push and hold, but rather push and it activates with no dealy
2. if voice control would have an option to say who the caller is when you're listening to music so you dont have to take out the phone just to find out who's calling.

I also use it when im listening to my music while washing dishes. I can easily change albums/artists without having to get my phone wet...

I don't like talking to a machine unless it talks back to me like KITT did in Night Rider. :D

At first I never used it, now that I upgraded to the 3.1 beta I use it all the time in the car with my Parrot Bluetooth kit. I can dial all my contacts and control music through bluetooth. When 3.1 comes out people will have more use for it.

I can't wait for that, I would def. use it more if it worked with my parrot bluetooth kit in the car. When i found out it didn't work with bluetooth headsets or car kits I was very dissapointed.
