How often does a new Logic come out?

Hey all,
I'm going to buy Logic Express (unless someone wants to convince me why pro is worth the extra $$) and was just wondering if there is a new version supposed to be comming out soon. How often is Logic updated?

Every 1.5 to 2 years. It was updated in July 2009. So you should be good to go.

And for $300 more (for Logic Studio), you get all the JamPacks ($500+ value), a professional burning app, live performance app, Logic Pro is completely unrestricted as opposed to Express, and a bunch more.

It really depends what your goal is: make music for fun at a Pro level (Logic Express), or a career/serious endeavor aka making a living (Logic Studio). Those are extremes though.

Logic gets updated every 18 to 32 months as it seems, and Logic Pro/Express 9 came out some months ago, so you should be on the safe side.

If you need the Loops that come in the jam packs then Studio is the way to go. If you and mainly using plug-ins then Express is fine.
