How often does Apple Store update inventory for in store pickup?

Sorry if this has been asked before. Do Apple stores update inventory for in-store pickup once a day? Multiple times a day? Does it depend on the store?

I'm talking about going through apple.com/store and selecting in-store pickup. Thanks!

I think it's daily.

Chances are if you "available for pickup today" listed then it's there. I'm in Philly and I ordered mine on the website at about 8:40 or so, at which time all stores in my area were listing availability.

I got a text confirmation about a little over an hour later and when i got to the store they had a separate line arranged for those that had reserved/pre-ordered online. Was in and out in about 20 min.

Thanks! Just to confirm, 8:40am? Or 8:40 last night? I got my phone reserved at 7:00 this morning but when I went back at 8:00 to order for wife, they were all out.

it updates as soon as their shipments come in so multiple times a day. I refreshed for about 3 hours and was just able to snag one about an hour ago. they were showing in stock this morning then out of stock. random apple stores not quite near me showing in stock then out of stock. and the one near me randomly showed in stock.
