How often does AW3 update steps, heart rate, etc.?

Is there a reason why the AW3 does not show live data like a fitbit? I noticed steps, heart rate calories etc. does not show live status. It's delayed.

It's most likely an energy saving feature as live updates would drain the battery at a quicker rate. I notice my Series 3 updates the steps count around every 30 seconds or so.
