How often does Dell hold sales?

Well, I'm in the market for Dell's 2407, and right in front of my eyes it went up from $799 to $879, so I was just wondering how low they ever go for, and how often. I just want to get it as cheap as possible, but I don't want to wait much more than two months. So does anyone know anything about how low they go and how often?

Fairly often, but I'd wait a bit now that the prices are now back to exorbitant "default" retail levels.

Another one to watch for is http://www.xpbargains.com, they generally have a decent list of coupons for Dell. Really the trick is to get a decent coupon combined with a sale. It took me 6 months to get my second dell monitor.

They hold Sales ALL the time, i wouldnt buy any monitor or compter from them for the full price

Here's a bit of advice: call up Dell, and ask them for a deal. Dell outsources their LCD sales, and from what I've read on another forum - one customer was able to haggle a the 30-incher down to something like $1300? $1400?

Yea, I bought my 2407 less than two weeks ago for $700. Definitely wait it out or check cnet.com for the lowest available price on it.

I have a 2407WFP and it's amazing... you'll love it when you get one. It's currently $747, but was $703 the middle of last month. With Dell's pattern of putting LCDs on sale, I would say you could expect it to come around again fairly soon.

Keep a watch at www.dealmac.com and you'll see a posting right when the price drops.

FWIW, I think you'd be waiting forever... I've never seen a coupon that's valid on the 3007WFP, similar to how they almost never put out coupons for their XPS computer models
