How often does geofencing poll location? ...

Been wanting to try geofencing. Just setup an alert to tell me when my son gets home. He's got a 5S.

How often will iOS 7 poll his phone for location? I'm just wondering about the impact on his battery.

Are you talking about the find my friends alert? Sorry I don't know about the battery impact because I don't use it.

i believe it will only look for his location when the other end is looking for it, for example with find my friends you'll pull up the app and look for his location, his phone receives the signal and sends back a location. i don't think battery life will be much effected.
