Before I was rebooting ATV every 2 days due to router issues, but ever since landlord fixed router issues or whatever he did I have not had to reboot AppleTV due to speed issues and its been over a month. I know with the type of tasks I do on Mac that has to rebooted daily. Watch, iPad, and iPhone reboot only when crash, but what about appleTV? How often should I reboot mine?

I notice that with some video streams (Peacock is the one I notice the most), performance starts to lag & I get a lot of buffering on my Apple TV. If I run a speed test, I'm only getting like 30 Mbps down. As soon as I see that happen, I reboot, and it goes away. IF you see the same, definitely time to reboot, but otherwise, no need to do so consistently.

When the streams seem out of sync or when the home screen's sound is lagging when scrolling thru the apps. When that happens, I will swipe the apps up (like the iPhone) and then restart the Apple TV. I do this once a month just because.
