I just recently decided to buy a macbook pro, and noticed that apple had just updated them. I want to buy one but not if there is gonna be a newer update a few months from now. I noticed there's early and late year models. Can anybody help me out?

Buy a computer when you need a computer. You can see the release date gaps here:

It's anyones guess as to when Apple will decide to update their computer models.
Basically, if you need a computer now then buy one now, otherwise you'll be waiting forever for the latest and greatest. It's not like an older MacBook Pro would be instantly useless upon the release of a newer model, it'll still do everything you need for years to come.

I agree with the others, if you need it buy it.
But, if you think you could suffer from a remorse for an impatientb purchase when the newer model is just behind the corner with more power and the same price, this is the right moment to buy.
Because Apple has just updated the line and the model/spec/price will be the same for at least 8/10 months.
