Just out of curiosity, how old is your current SIM card and how many different phones has it been used in?

I've had my current nano-SIM since 2013, and used it in my former iPhone 5s and current 6.

2 years old on march 2nd. Contract ends and I'll probably get another since I can get the EU roaming plan included and I'm 18 so I get double the data. And a new phone. That's what I want most.

1.5 years, one phone.

I've been with my current carrier for 1.5 years with the same phone.

Previous carrier was Sprint. SIM in my old iPhone 5 is inactive but is 4.5 years old. Only used in one phone because Sprint ties the SIM of the iPhone 5 to the device (it can't be used in any other device).

I'm also curious how long a SIM card can last. Assuming the next iPhone uses nano-SIM, I would transfer my card to that one as well if I get it, and I expect to keep that phone for 2-3 years. At that point my SIM could be 7 years old.

Shouldn't experience any physical damage though since the only time it's ever outside my phone is to be transferred to a new one.

Upgraded my 2 year old 5s with a new 6s from same carrier. I presumed that they would remove the sim card from my 5s and install it in my new 6s, but no, put a new sim card in the new phone and left the old one in the 5s which I kept.

I never understood that. Over here they just move the old one into the new phone.

Mine's either 3 years & a bit, or 4 years & a bit. Don't recall if I got a new one going from the 5 to 5s, if so then it's 3 years old. I transferred the SIM from the 5s to the 7 Plus.

As far as how long one can last, other than form factor changes - not sure. I suspect this may be my last SIM card, Apple is already using eSIM on the iPad Pro 9.7" cellular models & at some point handsets will go that way too.

21 days old. That is because I switched to T-Mobile from AT&T at the beginning of the month.

I do swap my SIM regularly between my 6s and SE though.

16 or 17 months and has sat in my 5C my galaxy S6 and now my iPhone 5S. Aiming to change carriers again so doubt I'll keep it too much longer than 2 years.

They keep giving me a new one every time I get a new phone
So only a few months

I got a new one with my 6, 6s, and 7

I think I'm using the same one I've had since I got my iPhone 5 lol since I have VZW old school unlimited I've always bought my own phone and just moved it over...

Shoot, since I switched to AT&T a couple years back. It's been in a VZW iPhone 6 Plus that I kept when I switched networks originally, then moved to a BlackBerry Z10 for a while, then to my 6S, then to the SE, then to and now to my iPhone 7 and sometimes it'll be found in my iPhone 3GS when I want to disconnect from things or don't want to risk damaging my 7 while working.

It's a traveling SIM basically.

My current SIM is about a year old, I'd say. I had one go out after 3 years and had to get it replaced.
