So I accidentally ignored a calendar event.

How can I restore this event that I accidentally ignored?

I read to go to my iCloud settings > advanced > restore calendar
It's not showing up there.

Help?

What do you mean "ignored"? Do you mean "Declined"? On Big Sur, if I click on the "Replied" tab in the top left of the calendar window, I can change my mind. I don't have older macOS handy to check where that might be in the older version of calendar.

I’m using Big Sur as well.

when a new calendar event appears, you have the option to ignore.
NOT delete but ignore the event.

I’ve searched and read how to recover deleted events but I can’t find how to recover ignored events

Go go Calendar, click on the Inbox icon on the top left corner, select the Replied tab

Isn’t that what I said?

you asked if I meant I declined an event. the instructions you gave I thought were how to recover a declined event.
I didn’t decline an event, I ignored the event

I guess we can now argue if decline and ignore are the same thing, LOL

I appreciate the help.
Not trying to sound like a jerk
Hope it doesn’t sound that way
I apologize if it does

but the ignored invent does not show up in my inbox under replied either

I didn’t delete the event, I didn’t decline the event
I clicked on ignore

And well, it’s ignored alright!!:)

I'm having the same question.

Just for clarification: There's 2 types of events:

Normal event invitations (usually via email) - you can Accept, Tentative or Decline these and once you made a selection, they show up in the "Replied" tab.

Siri event suggestions (automatically generated from e.g. email contents, messages, etc.) - you can Accept (add to Calendar) or Ignore these. Once you made a selection, they are gone from Calendar's Inbox or Replied list.

As a workaround, you can find the email or message where this suggestion was coming from and long-press the date/time in that message. This should allow you to create an event based on that time.
